The LISA Committee is responsible for setting out the policies and overseeing the strategic direction of the LSE IS Alumni Association, as well as its day-to-day running. It is comprised of three main work streams and currently consists of 12 members. We are a small group, but we believe that a few dedicated and passionate individuals is all it takes to lay the foundation of a community and serve our alumni.

Adnan Naseem is a seasoned technology leader and entrepreneur with over 17 years of technology and leadership experience. Mr. Naseem is currently working as the Senior Vice President at a Fortune 500 organisation, which is the third largest eCommerce business in the world. In his current position, he heads the international engineering organisation with a team of around 200 globally distributed engineers. Prior to his current role, Adnan was heading the European Media Technology and BI Program at the largest independent advertising technology company in the world. In 2006, he co-founded an IT consulting company in London and worked as the Chief Operating Officer establishing it as a high quality IT consulting company. Prior to that, Adnan has held various engineering and leadership positions since 1996.
Over the course of 17 years, Mr. Naseem has successfully led the development and delivery of highly complex and mission critical technology solutions and projects to a large number of blue chip companies like General Electric, MCITime Warner, MassMutual, BMW, Audi, Honda, WPP and Omnicom Media Group.
Adnan is one of the founding members of LISA and as the Chair of LISA, he focuses on networking, relationship building and events organisation. He lives in London with his wife and two children.
Anand graduated from the last ADMIS class in 2011 before the program was changed to become MISI. He currently works as a business analyst for an investment bank in the City of London. Anand has a background in consultancy services and has interests in areas of payment cards, outsourcing and cloud computing. He is keen in building a global network for the alumni and is currently a member of the Membership Work stream.
Charles Wahab (MSc ADMIS 2007)
Charles, aka “Free Software Advocate” works as a business analyst in the financial derivatives sector. He has worked in market data and electronic trading as a software engineer and was recently involved in a startup company. Within LISA, he mainly focuses on building relationships with industry, and helping current and recent graduates in their careers. He also edits the newsletter and is always on email.
Charles is also a long distance and open water swimming enthusiast. He can often be spotted in public wearing one of his trademark hats and has occasionally performed stand-up comedy routines for charity events. He plays an active role in both Membership and Brand Development Work streams.
Elena is passionate about technology and the ways in which it can enable business to deliver in new and better ways. She works in the financial sector and, throughout her career, has been a firm believer that technology itself does not solve problems unless it is allied to an understanding of the bigger picture.
Elena also firmly believes that women still face many unique challenges in technology-related careers. In future, she hopes to continue to add to this debate as well as to bring a broad range of support and resources to help female alumni to progress from the classroom to the boardroom. In her spare time, Elena enjoys hot yoga, baking (particularly bread) and upcycling.
Heemanshu currently works with a leading energy trading firm in London. He leads the Alumni Relations and Communications effort for LISA and also helps in managing social networks and Brand Development.
Heemanshu is passionate about Commodity Markets and the use of technology for business growth and operational efficiency. His subjects of interest include business innovation, data architectures and behavioural economics. He enjoys travelling and regularly participates in dance performances.
Kenneth currently works for Sainsbury’s as an IT buyer looking after the commercial relationships with system integrators and other software and hardware vendors. Prior to this he spent two and a half years with A.T. Kearney, a global management consultancy, working on procurement related projects for clients across Europe. He is one of the founding members of LISA having been involved in setting up the first networking events in London as well as organising speakers to attend career events for the IS490 core course for ADMIS/MISI students.
Mariya has been working in the financial services and software industry as a technical consultant since her graduation from LSE. She has extensive experience in IT – starting as a web developer before taking up roles as IT business analyst and project manager.
She joined LISA to help create a strong community with relationships both to industry and academia which will allow its members to progress professionally and exchange ideas.
Saad currently works for a global management consultancy. In addition to his ADMIS degree, Saad also has a Master’s degree in Non-profit Management and Leadership and has worked for over four years organising strategy and field for political advocacy organisations in the United States.
Saad is interested in developing LISA as an organisation and has helped to facilitate strategy development workshops for LISA.
Val is a prizewinning MISI ’12 graduate. His primary research interest is in what effects the ontology of a particular technology can have on individuals and groups. At the moment, Val works for a global management consultancy firm in London, specialising in business applications of digital and disruptive tech. On the side, he is a web designer and programmer.
